Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital in Port Jefferson, NY, seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian, with part-time applicants also considered. The hospital has served the local community and surrounding areas since 1958 and is committed to providing progressive, compassionate and individualized veterinary care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves examining animals, assessing their health, diagnosing conditions, treating and dressing wounds, performing surgery, testing for diseases and administering vaccinations. You will operate medical equipment, including X-ray machines, prescribe medication and advise owners on general care, medical conditions and treatment options. The hospital welcomes both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. They are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented veterinarian who enjoys building client relationships and working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality care.

Practice Details
The hospital offers industry-leading medical and diagnostic capabilities, with technology and resources to support the diagnosis, treatment and management of a wide range of cases. Services include wellness care, dental care, surgery, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition, pharmacy and urgent care. The hospital opens Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 5pm, and Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 7pm. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
You will join a team comprising one veterinarian and three support staff. The friendly, collaborative environment values communication, teamwork and a positive practice culture, with support and flexibility to help veterinarians practise confidently and continue to grow.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
