Acute Care Hospital Setting

Perform bedside specimen collection on patients of all ages including NICU
Conduct venipunctures and finger-stick procedures with precision
Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Maintain accurate patient records within EMR systems
Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
Ensure proper specimen handling and transportation
Provide compassionate patient care while explaining procedures and easing patient concerns
2+ years acute-care hospital phlebotomy
Pediatric, adult, geriatric, and NICU bedside collections
Venipuncture and finger-stick proficiency
EMR experience
Specimen identification/handling and tracking
Infection-control and aseptic technique
Quality-control documentation
Ability to work full-time in Moreno Valley/Riverside/Coachella Valley
Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience
Experience performing bedside draws on patients of all ages
Familiarity with bleeding-time testing procedures
Experience maintaining quality-control documentation and logs
Strong patient-service skills and bedside manner
We're seeking a Phlebotomist who can confidently perform collections while making patients feel comfortable and cared for. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, follows protocols without exception, and understands the critical role specimen integrity plays in patient outcomes.
Do you have formal phlebotomy training or certification?
How many years of acute care hospital phlebotomy experience do you have?
Have you performed bedside draws on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients?
Are you proficient in venipunctures and finger-stick collections?
Which EMR systems have you used?
Can you consistently follow infection control and aseptic procedures?
Have you worked in an acute care hospital for the required 2 year minimum?
Do you have experience with quality-control documentation and specimen tracking?
