DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant for an opportunity with a well-established organization in New York City. This position will support the financial operations of a commercial property and work closely with the onsite property team, tenants, and vendors.Responsibilities:* Manage accounting activities for a commercial property, including accounts payable and accounts receivable* Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports and accounting records* Support monthly financial reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information* Review leases and assist with CAM-related accounting activities* Perform budget-to-actual analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting* Work directly with vendors and tenants to resolve accounting-related questions* Support accounting related to ongoing property projects* Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure established accounting procedures are followed* Partner closely with the onsite property management teamRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field* 5-7 years of accounting or financial experience* Commercial real estate/property accounting experience* Experience with AP, AR, and financial reporting* Knowledge of CAM and lease-related accounting* Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Experience with Yardi is a plusJob TypeContractCompensation40 - $60
